Most sessions last approximately one hour (except for stopping smoking which lasts from one and a half to two hours long).
Initial consultation – £40
The initial consultation takes approximately 40-50 minutes. This provides an opportunity to discuss and identify what help is needed and also to set some goals. Included in this is a free relaxation CD which many clients find helpful for improving sleep and increasing confidence.
Weekly sessions – £70
Subsequent sessions follow a general format depending on the goal of the client. A simple phobia can be covered in 3 sessions using a specific technique. Anxiety, anger and low mood issues generally take between 8 to 12 sessions although they can take longer. Each client is unique and will make changes in their own time.
Usually we follow a structure of talking for 30 minutes focusing on positives and drawing from a variety of psychotherapeutic techniques including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), SFTB (Solution Focused Brief Therapy) and life coaching. After this comes hypnosis, which usually lasts from 20 to 30 minutes.
Stopping smoking – £150
Please note that 48 hours’ notice is required if you cancel a session, otherwise the full cost of the session is charged. This ensures fairness to other clients who may need that appointment. Exceptions can be made for medical emergencies and genuine sudden illness.
Reduced fees are available for students and those on low income at £50 per weekly session.
